What if the secret to fewer pests in your garden wasn't a spray, but the health of the plant itself? That's the idea behind Brix, a simple measurement of the sugar and nutrient density in plant sap, and one of the most underrated tools in organic growing.
Plants with higher Brix levels are naturally more resistant to insects and disease. The result: stronger plants, healthier soil, and far less need for intervention. In this session, we'll cover what Brix is, how to measure it with an inexpensive refractometer, and the practical steps you can take to raise Brix levels in your dahlias and across your garden.
Whether you're a RIDS member or a curious local gardener, all are welcome. No RSVP is required, but tapping RSVP below helps us plan seating and handouts.
