About the event
Once the first frost hits, what you do with your tubers determines what next season looks like. Join the Rhode Island Dahlia Society for a hands-on afternoon focused on getting your dahlia tubers safely through winter.
Members will demonstrate how to divide tuber clumps for storage, and walk through the most popular packing methods for both divided tubers and whole clumps. You'll see the techniques up close and have plenty of chances to ask questions.

Dividing tuber clumps: where to cut and what to look for
Identifying viable tubers (eyes, necks, and rot to avoid)
Popular packing methods for divided tubers
Storing whole clumps over winter
Labeling and tracking varieties for next spring
