Established in 1964 in North Kingstown, the Rhode Island Dahlia Society (RIDS) was initially comprised of 12 members who enjoyed growing dahlias and wished to spread the word about this beautiful flower.

Experienced growers will demonstrate how to take cuttings and will discuss various seed starting methods and share seeds with members. Zoom link sent to members in newsletter.

Annual Spring Tuber Sales
This year there will be two sales. The first will be held Sunday May 5 2024 at 1:00- 3:30PM. at the North Kingstown Community Center.
There will also be a second sale on
Saturday May 11, 2024 10am-3pm, Held at Blithewold Mansion, Gardens, and Arboretum

Last years tuber sale provided an incredible variety and volume of award winning cultivars. There were also bargain grab bags for those who just want pretty blooms.

Show at the Washington County Fair

The 57th Annual RIDS Dahlia Show including Artistic Arrangements
took place on Saturday 9/9/23 at 3:00 PM -7:00 PM and Sunday 9/10/23 at 10:00 AM-4:00 PM and was free to the public as a community service. Click the PDF button below for a show schedule including a photo contest entry form and rules
